Supervision of and Professional Development for teachers

A school system's most important asset is its teaching force. And, the most important investment a school can make is to ensure that teachers continue to learn. Continuous, high-quality professional development is essential to the goals of high standards of learning for every child. Based on a teacher empowerment philosophy, this workshop will promote self-growth, self-reliance and self-regulation for teachers. The role of the supervisor will also be highlighted including ways to facilitate, encourage, and nurture the professional development of teachers. Role-play and interactive dialogue will empower participants to guide colleagues through a proven professional development model.
